Owner Glenn Tyrala has a strong background in general construction but found the reliance on modern materials, products and techniques uninspiring and wasteful.  He obtained his General Contractor’s license in 2009 in order to start his own company where he now pursues his passions for craft and focuses on antique homes and buildings within San Francisco and the Marin and Sonoma County communities along the 101 corridor.

“I really enjoy running a niche carpentry company and working directly with homeowners. I get to travel throughout San Francisco and explore the inner workings of this city’s finest historic structures. And with our 2023 expansion into North Bay communities, I'm really enjoying working on some great Vics and early farmhouses far from the bustle of the city.”

About Us
Since our inception in 2009, we have specialized in the restoration of Victorian & Edwardian homes & historic structures built during the 1800's to early 1900's.

Like you, we appreciate old buildings and truly enjoy being a part of bringing these works of art back to life.

Since virtually all antique homes in the SF Bay Area were constructed using the same methods and materials, Raven Restoration has been able to make a specialty of their repair. With our dedicated restoration and fabrication studio in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, we create custom reproduction Victorian house-parts for various projects.

Unlike other contractors, our specialized fabrication studio allows us to bring customized elements directly to your site so that we can typically reinstall your restored windows by the end of each day, never leaving your home vulnerable.

Though we involve ourselves with large scale preservation projects, a significant portion of our restoration projects take place in clients' homes. Every homeowner can expect that tidiness is one of our greatest priorities.
